Our busy Cafe Bar requires additional casual support.
You will be able to contribute to the efficient delivery of ticket bookings and the efficient operation of the Cafe Bar. You must also be able to contribute to stimulating ticket sales.
You must have experience of directly dealing with customers in a sales-based environment and possess good basic IT knowledge.
An ability to work well under pressure is a must, as is a good telephone manner and an ability to show initiative. Although previous experience of working with ticketing software is an advantage, this is not essential and full training will be provided.

The Playhouse requires casual Duty Front of House Managers for shows that primarily are evening and weekend but can occasionally be daytime.
The Duty Front of House Manager is the senior member of staff responsible for the Front of House during performances. The position involves supervising staff and volunteer ushers, and liaising with visiting companies regarding programme and merchandise sales. The Duty Manager is responsible for all aspects of the Health and Safety of audiences.
Ideally you should have management or supervisory experience, preferably in a leisure or entertainment venue and proven ability to provide a high standard of customer care. You will hold a personal licence and basic certificate in first aid or be prepared to undertake the necessary training.

Responsible to the Technical Manager, duties will include assisting ‘get-ins’ and ‘get-outs’, Lighting, Sound or Flys operation and Stage Management.
Knowledge of technical theatre is essential to this role and the ideal candidate will have experience of working backstage in a theatre environment or have completed a recognised technical theatre qualification.
