Kirstie has been working at Harlow Playhouse since January 2012 and started out as a causal box office assistant. She then went onto a part time contract and worked in the box office and then the café bar before moving up to full time into the management team. Kirstie loves the Harlow Playhouse and is very happy to be the Commercial and development manager here, enabling her to connect with the public, bring in new companies and play a big part in helping the programming team bring exciting new shows from Edinburgh Fringe and the Vaults Festival.

Kirstie is also a professional actress and has worked on many TV  shows over the past few years, including EastEnders, Casualty and Phoneshop. She can currently be seen on the William Hill adverts but her favourite thing has been being able to perform at the Harlow Playhouse, she has performed a one women show ‘SPINE’ and also  ‘TWO’ alongside Ben Parsley(Technical Manager) and most recently ‘TEECHERS’.

My top pick is BIRTH 13th October 2021.

This show was something I personally picked from Edinburgh Fringe 2019- it was a sell out and a must see. The show took my breath away with beautiful story telling told through physical theatre, dance, a stunning underscore and simple but stunning use of props and cloth.

I laughed, cried and smiled throughout the show and I cannot wait for Harlow audiences to see this piece of theatre and bonus it’s a part of our Pay What You Can Season.  I would encourage women to come along with their mothers, daughters and grandmothers as family is truly at the heart of this story.
