GSS and Harlow Playhouse are looking for a customer-focused Concierge to join our team, The role will be primarily based at Harlow Playhouse, However, GSS will require a person that is willing and able to work across other sites in our portfolio, as well as event-based, worked.
Whilst at Harlow Playhouse, you will be supporting the front-of-house team in delivering an exceptional customer experience with a focus on public safety. Duties will include but are not limited to locking and unlocking the premises, patrolling the venue, undertaking basic cleaning duties, assisting front of house and back of house teams with security issues, and basic manual handling.
You must be an SIA Licensed Door Supervisor and it is desirable for the ideal candidate to hold a CCTV license.
The hours are varied and will be worked on a rota basis, a minimum of 40hrs per week.

The Playhouse requires casual House Managers for shows that primarily are evening and weekend but can occasionally be daytime.
The House Manager is the senior member of staff responsible for the Front of House during performances. The position involves supervising staff and volunteer ushers, and liaising with visiting companies regarding programme and merchandise sales. The Duty Manager is responsible for all aspects of the Health and Safety of audiences.
Ideally you should have management or supervisory experience, preferably in a leisure or entertainment venue and proven ability to provide a high standard of customer care.
If successful in your application you will be required to undertake a 1-day personal license holder course and a 3-day first aid course as part of the role.

Harlow Playhouse is looking to expand its team of experienced casual technicians to help with the backstage responsibilities of running this increasingly busy venue. You will be working with people who have an established reputation as one of the best and most customer focused teams in the county.
Responsible to the Technical Manager, duties will include assisting ‘get-ins’ and ‘get-outs’, Lighting, Sound or Flys operation and Stage Management.
Knowledge of technical theatre is essential to this role and the ideal candidate will have experience of working backstage in a theatre environment or have completed a recognised technical theatre qualification.
