Dog Café

Every Saturday we will be hosting a Dog Café at Harlow Playhouse! This means non assistance dogs will be welcomed in our Café and Bar area where there will be water and free treats available. There will also be Dog ice creams and Puppucinos available to purchase.

Please note we will not be able to accommodate a dog café on Saturdays when we have an Afternoon Glee event. Please check our what’s on guide for dates this will effect.

Things to take note of:

  • We often have performances on a Saturday so please check the website to see how busy we will be.
  • Dogs are not permitted on furniture. If you’d like your dog to sit beside you, please bring a blanket or mat.
  • Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.
  • Please ensure your dog is calm, sociable, and comfortable in a public setting.
  • Dogs that cause disruption to other patrons may be politely asked to leave.
  • Owners are responsible for cleaning up any accidents.

This does not affect our assistance dogs policy where they are welcome across all areas of Harlow Playhouse. Patrons bringing assistance dogs are kindly asked to book an accessible seat in advance.

#SWAPPED AT THE PLAYHOUSE

Take part in a book swap to celebrate the joy of storytelling, encourage sustainable sharing, and create a welcoming space for our community to connect through books — just like we do through theatre.

How it works:

Donating: Hand any book to the box office

Borrow: Pick up any book from the shelves

Family lounge

We are proud to be a breast-feeding friendly cafe. We also have a lovely corner in the gallery, which is dedicated to all things kids, complete with mini secret cinema, dressing up rail, games, bean bags, puzzles, books and a colouring station!

Two children inside the cinema, one sat on the benches and one pointing at the TV
