Public Notice: Changes to Drop-Off and Pick-Up Arrangements at Harlow Playhouse
As part of the ongoing construction works to transform Playhouse Square into a vibrant regional cultural hub—forming Harlow’s new Arts and Cultural Quarter—access around the Playhouse is changing.
To ensure the safety of visitors and construction teams, the turning circle outside Harlow Playhouse will be reserved exclusively for Hackney Carriage Taxis (black cabs) for the purposes of passenger drop-off and pick-up.
For All Other Visitors
Members of the public who are dropping off or collecting passengers are kindly advised to use one of the following nearby car parks:
- Harvey Centre Car Park
- Water Gardens Car Park
Both car parks offer 15 minutes of free parking, making them suitable for short stops.
Important Safety Guidance
- Please park safely in a marked bay when dropping off or collecting passengers.
- Both car parks can become busy during peak times. To avoid safety risks and congestion, do not stop your vehicle in live traffic lanes or obstruct the flow of moving vehicles.
We appreciate your cooperation and patience while these important improvement works take place. These changes will help ensure the safety of all visitors and support the successful delivery of Harlow’s new Arts and Cultural Quarter.
How to find us
Harlow Playhouse is located in Playhouse Square and is signposted on all main traffic routes. Parking is available in the adjacent Harvey Centre car park, in the nearby Water Gardens car park, or a little further away in the NCP Terminus House car park (please note that charges apply and that all are privately owned).
Harlow Bus Station is a 5 minute walk, and Harlow Town Railway Station is a 40 minute walk (or 10 minute taxi drive) from the Playhouse.
