TERMS AND CONDITIONS

By booking this event, you are accepting these terms and conditions. You are giving permission for KD Academy, their sister company KD Theatre Productions, and Harlow Playhouse permission to contact you on the email address and contact numbers you provide.

SIGN UP FORM

The sign-up form must be completed for every child who enrols in the Summer School days. It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to notify KD Academy immediately of any changes. The sign-up form is linked after payment.

ATTENDANCE

Due to the nature of group activities within the masterclass, it is appreciated if parents can notify KD Academy ([email protected]) of any absence of students. Please ensure that you notify KD Academy in writing (email) if your son/daughter is no longer attending the masterclass. No spectators are allowed in the teaching rooms unless invited by the class tutor.

FEES

We have a no refund policy for this event.

There is a minimum number of students required to ensure that the masterclass will take place. Please note that if the masterclass does not take place or required numbers are not met, you will be issued a full refund and you will be notified in advance.

Places will be booked on a first come first served basis and there is a limited number of spaces.

FIRST AID & MEDICAL CONSENT

By enrolling your child at KD Academy’s Summer School, you give consent for trained members of staff to administer basic first aid if required. In the event of a medical emergency, every effort will be made to contact a parent/guardian immediately. If necessary, KD Academy staff may also seek professional medical assistance, including arranging for your child to be taken to hospital.

Parents/guardians must inform KD Academy of any relevant medical conditions, allergies, or medication requirements prior to their child attending classes.

PARENT CONDUCT

KD Academy and Harlow Playhouse will not tolerate any aggressive behaviour or language towards any member of their teams. Please ensure you treat all staff with respect through face-to-face contact, email and telephone calls. We are here to help and make everyone’s experience as pleasant as possible.

LATE COLLECTION

Please ensure you collect your child promptly at the end of the masterclass or wraparound care. Please note we cannot leave your child unattended, and a member of staff is required to supervise them. If you are more than 15mins late for collection a £5.00 charge will be made for every 15mins of staff supervision.

TEACHING

All of our teachers are working professionals, and all hold a valid DBS certificate and/or a chaperone licence. Please be aware that in order to teach your child effectively, it is sometimes necessary to demonstrate using physical contact to clarify verbal instruction.

BEHAVIOUR

Students are expected to conduct themselves in a polite, kind and sensible manner during their classes. The performing arts requires a lot of self-discipline and awareness of others around them. Any student that fails to reach the required standard of behaviour can affect the progress, learning and enjoyment of other students and the student will be asked to leave the masterclass. Students who damage equipment or property through misuse or recklessness will be held liable for any cost of repair or replacement.

PERSONAL DATA

Data protection laws ensure that personal information is handled appropriately and securely by KD Academy and Harlow Playhouse. When you opt into any communication from KD Academy and Harlow Playhouse, we will treat your information with respect. KD Academy and Harlow Playhouse teachers will have access to Student’s names, Parent/guardian’s names, emergency contact details and student’s DOB. KD Academy and Harlow Playhouse may add all enrolled students to their student database, mailing list and invoice system.
