Rory Davies

Head of Culture and Heritage & Artistic Director For Harlow Playhouse

Rory is the Head of Culture and Heritage for Harlow Council, and is responsible for leading Cultural transformation and delivery of Cultural and Heritage services. Rory is also the Artistic Director for Harlow Playhouse and is responsible for producing cultural programmes across the town.

Rory has been the Artistic Director at Harlow Playhouse since 2017, and was appointed as the Head of Culture and Heritage in 2025. Prior to this he worked in general management, Events Management and toured the UK as a production manager.

Rory has previously been the Technical Director of Nationally Honoured inclusive theatre company Razed Roof and is responsible for producing and commissioning new work at Harlow Playhouse both in commercial and subsidised settings.

Rory has provided management consultancy for various companies and he is a Trustee for the Livewire Theatre Trust, Trustee for Passmores Co-operative Learning Community, Chair of Essex Police (Harlow) Independent Advisory Group, Member of Essex Police Strategic IAG
